Vernon Fitzhugh became a MUZAK franchisee
in 1957 with a studio in the Motor Finance Building in Fayetteville, AR. He was owner, manager, salesman, and technician, as well as a full-time employee of Southwestern Bell.  As business grew, he devoted his full attention to the expansion of background music and related sound and communications services in Fayetteville and surrounding cities, adding Fort Smith and continguous territory.

With the expansion of territory and services, Fitzhugh Pro-Sound Inc. was added to specialize in the design and installation of large, professional, audio/visual, closed circuit television, sound, and communication systems. To keep abreast of the area's remarkable business and economic growth, Fitzhugh Communications increased and trained their staff to establish their reputation and experience.

Whether you are planning a local retail store, restaurant, school, stadium, hospital, church, or local boardroom, we can design, install, and service a system that is tailored to meet your specific needs.

The audio architecture and stimulus progression provided by MUZAK allows you to create the environment that you want for your business while enhancing your bottom line with improved employee attendance and performance.  Each genre of music is scheduled daily and lyrics monitored for language, eliminating the repetition and offensive lyrics inherent in other services.

Fitzhugh Communications recently received national recognition from Systems Contractor News for the paging, music, and voice communication system that was designed and installed for St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, AR.

As we continue to be the professional leader in Northern and Western Arkansas, we have been selected to represent such premier sound reproduction leaders as Bose, Klipsch, and LG for plasma and flat screen television services.
